WHAT CAN YOU BUILD

WITH CODE?

Coding can be fun and challenging, and helps develop your problem solving skills. Think about all the games you enjoy playing, think about all the devices and apps you interact with daily, the number of webpages you look at - they all require coding in one way or another. You might not know what to build as a beginner, many start of with simple websites, before moving on to more advanced apps. When there is a technological problem to be solved, coding and programming can often be the solution.

EXPERIMENTING WITH CODE

A great resource to experiment with coding is from Codepen. Below is an example of CSS animated waves showed inside of a pen structure. This format allows learners to see the code in either HTML, CSS or Javascript (JS) tabs as well as preview of what the code does. By signing up with Codepen for free, you will be able to save out sample pens and modify the code so you have your own version to tinker with and re-share for others to learn from. It's a wonderful collaborative coding community that shows what is possible for front end coders!
